Design Process
First Three Sketch Explorations
These were the first three designs I pitched to the team. We proceeded with the concept of the koi fish, but pursued different directions for the other two.
Cherry Blossom Process
The team and I discussed and decided to combine elements from some of the original sketches. They liked the perspective of the lily pads on the water and the cherry blossoms above. I then worked to develop a couple of potential directions.
Final Cherry Blossom Design
After deciding on a direction, I developed the final illustration with yellow marks to represent the gold-gilded print on the product.
Print Process
The printing process required that I differentiate between the main colors form the gold gilding on the bottles.
